Aquarium maintenance

(starting at $110 dependent on tank size)

service to include:

• Water test (we test for pH, Ammonia, Nitrites, Nitrates, Phosphates, Calcium, Alkalinity, Temperature and Salinity. We log these parameters in our database and take before and after photos)
   

• Pre-mixed water for the water change (We use Seachem Vibrant Sea salt and RODI water, not tap water and typically change 20-25%. This provides the best possible water quality for the health of your fish and other aquarium inhabitants. The dirty water is hauled away from your property and disposed of properly at our office)
   

• Algae scrub (from your tanks glass and plastic surfaces)
   

• Filtration renewal (Includes replacing filter pads/socks/cartridges, carbon and phosphate removing media & adding specialized media as needed)
   

• Sand/gravel/substrate vacuuming 
   

• Cleaning/inspection of aquarium equipment (to include sumps, power heads, canister filters, protein skimmers, air pumps, filters, ATO units, aquariums & stands, etc.)
   

• Exterior tank wipe down at end of the visit 
   

• Adding any necessary buffers (like Ph, calcium, or alkalinity buffer)
   

• Up to 10 gallons of top off water
   

•  Cyanobacteria treatment included as needed
   

• Detoxification of any ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate as well as a dose of bottled nitrifying bacteria should you ever experience a sudden, unexpected loss of the nitrifying bacteria in your aquarium or an unexpected ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate spike
   

• ICP testing is available and offered every 3-6 months or more if necessary, depending on the needs of the aquarium (as available)
